What is GetBeezy?: GetBeezy is your own personal online activity log. A scuba diver might call it a dive log. A teenage girl might call it her diary. An old man might consider it his memory. But, regardless of who you are, GetBeezy enables you to store an account of all of the great activities that you have experienced in your life and share them with others. Whether it was a simple dinner with a friend or an exotic vacation with your husband or wife, you can record it in your account on GetBeezy.

You will be able to search for anything based on exactly what you feel like doing. Are you going on a date and you want Mediterranean food outdoors with live music? With GetBeezy, you can search for the places that have been rated for that specific scenario. It's a new and different approach to recommendations.
Is GetBeezy free?: Absolutely. All of GetBeezy's services are and always will be available to you free of charge.
Why use GetBeezy?: Well…some day, you will have forgotten many of the fun experiences you had, but your GetBeezy account won't. You can browse what we call your Beezness to see all of the activity that has occurred in your life. View photos, remarks, and reviews…all available to reminisce with just a few clicks! Plus, you can include your friends and share the Pages and Chapters of your life at any time.

GetBeezy also enables you to rate each of the activities you log by the specific reason you did them. In doing this, you will help build the most comprehensive recommendations tool for everything from restaurants and bars to museums to volunteer opportunities.
What types of places should I be reviewing on GetBeezy?: Every Spot on the planet where people eat, drink, do, or help – regardless of whether it has a physical address – is worthy of a review on GetBeezy. Each Spot can be rated multiple times based on the specific activity/reason for going there.
Who can see me?: At GetBeezy we have two different types of profiles: your limited profile and your Story. As you may have guessed, your limited profile only shows limited aspects which include your name, profile photo, current rank and point total, and where you live. Your Story is your main, full profile page, which includes everything that you can see when you are viewing it yourself. If someone who is not your friend tries to view your Story, they will be directed to your limited profile page, where they will have the option of Beefriending you. If you decide to accept their request, they will be granted access to your full Story. On the other hand, if someone is your friend, they will be able to see your full Story.
Who can see my logged Pages, Chapters, and photos?: At GetBeezy, your privacy is of upmost importance. All of your Beezness (Pages and Chapters) and photos have personalized settings for you to decide who gets to view your stuff. Do some poking around and see for yourself. If there is anything you feel we are missing that could potentially improve our privacy settings, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Is GetBeezy in my hometown?: We sure hope so. However, as GetBeezy is a global site that is constantly expanding to all corners of the map, there's certainly a possibility that we don't have any users in your area. In that case we could use your help in getting us started so you and others in your area can start to experience the benefits of the site.

Account Related

How do I change my basic account information?: At the top right of the screen beside your BeezyMail inbox, you'll see a link for "Settings." Simply click on this link and it will guide you to where you can change everything related to your GetBeezy account.
What happens if I forgot my password?: Click on "Forgot Password?" below the login fields and you will be directed to a page where we will ask for your email address. Your current password will then be reset and GetBeezy will send you a new password to your email address.
How do I change my contact information (email, snail mail, phone, etc)?: From your profile page, click on Edit Profile button and find the tab for contact information and change as needed.

Beezness Related

What is Beezness?: Beezness is the opposite of business. Whenever you are having fun by yourself or with others, you are getting down to Beezness. At GetBeezy.com we have beezness pages, which represent different activities in your life and each gets its own page.
What is a Page and how do I create one?: Pages are all the activities or events in your Story. Each activity you log has its own Beezness Page. If you don’t add Pages to your Story it will be empty and your story will be pretty boring. To create a Page, hover over "Update Story" on your left navigation bar, click "Add a Page," and then go through the steps.
What is a Chapter and how do I create one?: Sometimes a bunch of activities happen together and you want to look back on them as a group, such as a wedding weekend or a trip. Chapters are a way of organizing pages into a group and giving them a title. It's great for showing others several Pages at the same time. To create a Chapter, hover over "Update Story" on your left navigation bar, click "Set up a Chapter," and then go through the steps.
How do I remove/delete a Page or Chapter?: In order to delete a Page or Chapter you have to be the person who created it. In this case you would go to the Page or Chapter and click on "Edit Details" and then click "Delete" at the top of the screen. If you did not create it but do not want to be a part of the Page or Chapter anymore you can remove yourself from it at any time. Just click "Remove Me" from Chapter in the top right of the Chapter.
How do I change the date of a Page or Chapter I have already created?: To change the date for a Page or Chapter you must have either created the Page/Chapter or be an eEditor for it. If you are, just go to the Page/Chapter and click the "Edit Details" button. On the next screen you can change the date. Make sure both the start and end date is correct. If you are not the creator or editor, look for the "Creator" label on one of your friend's icons and just send a Beemail to the person asking him/her to change it.
Who can read the remarks I have left on a Page?: This depends on the privacy settings that have been set by the creator or editor for the Page. To find the current privacy setting, look for the padlock icon in the top right of the Page screen. Anyone who can see the page can see the remarks and the posts on the Pad.
Where do I find my upcoming events or parties?: On your Home page at the top of your News Feed.
How do I put in a main picture for a Chapter?: In order to change or add a main picture for a Chapter you must be an editor for that Chapter. If you are, look for the icon in the lower right corner of the default photo and click on it. If you have already uploaded photos to the Chapter then you will be able to choose from those, and if not you can upload the one you want from within that module. If you are not an editor for the Chapter and have a suggestion for a photo you can always send your friend a Beemail suggesting which one you think would be best.
How do I add more Pages to a Chapter?: In order to add more Pages to a Chapter you must be an editor for that Chapter. If you are, go to "Add a Page" under Update Story on your left navigation bar, create the Page you want to add to the Chapter, and GetBeezy will recognize that the page falls within the date range for that particular Chapter. It will then ask you if you want to add it to the existing Chapter. Click yes and you're good to go! If you are not an editor for the Chapter and would like a Page added to it, send a Beemail to the editor(s) and tell em about it.
How do I edit the title for a Page?: In order to edit the title for a Page you have to be the creator of that Page. If you are, under the photo on the left you will see an "Edit Details" button. Click on that, edit the name, and click the "Update" button at the bottom of the Page. If you are not the creator of the Page, send a Beemail to the creator with your suggestion.
What is the difference between "remarks" and "comments"?: Remarks appear on Pages and are a way of leaving thoughts for triggering your memory down the road when you're looking back on that Page. They can also be words left for others to see, like the host of the party, the engaged couple, or other friends who attended.

Comments appear on a Review in order to describe your experience at that Spot, and are available to all GetBeezy users to help them make decisions. Often the remarks you left on a Page double with what you would want to leave as a comment about the Spot; that is why the remarks always load in the comment box to save you time if you want to reuse your words.

How do I add a new Spot?: Find the "Find a Spot" link on your top nav bar and click "Add a Spot."
What is a private Spot?: A private Spot is a Spot that, quite simply, you don’t want to be made public. It can be anything from your house to a place with an awesome view, or your favorite locals-only bar in a back alley off an unpopulated street to a favorite campsite. Once you create a private Spot you can begin inviting friends to be able to view the Spot’s page and all the activities associated with it. Private Spots are not reviewable, nor will they appear in search results.
How do I add my house?: Go to My Story, click on "Spots" then click on "Create New" in the Spots I Control box.
How can I tag photos to a Spot/Page/Chapter?: When viewing a photo you want to tag, look on the left side of the picture and you'll see a little icon of a tag. Click on the icon and then notice the tabs at the top of the next page. To tag a photo to a page or Spot, click on the "Page" tab, select the Page and begin tagging. This tags the photo to both the Page and the Spot.
Why is more than one Spot showing up in the auto-fill, one verified and one unverified?: Before GetBeezy purchased a list of Spots in the United States, some of us began adding Spots that we had been to so they would be in our database. When you see a duplicate Spot show up in your auto-fill, click the link in red on the duplicate and click delete when the screen pops up.
What does it mean when an unverified Spot shows up in the auto-fill?: Before GetBeezy purchased a list of Spots in the United States, some of us began adding Spots that we had been to so they would be in our database. When you see a listing that is unverified, click the link in red and look closely over the information (we have found a few errors) and change it as needed, then save.
What are Tag Words and how do they work?: First off, let's not confuse Tag Words with tagging photos on GetBeezy, but you can think of them as sort of the same idea. Just as you would tag a person to a photo, you can tag a word or feature to a Spot. For example, if you go to a restaurant and have a great crab dip appetizer, during your review process (or if you go to the Spot page for that restaurant) you can "tag" that Spot with "great crab dip" and it will appear in the Tag Words box on that Spot's page. This works not just for restaurants, but any type of Spot you find on GetBeezy. A golf course could have the Tag Words "wide fairways" or "difficult greens," or a bar could be tagged as having "fast bartenders," or an "awesome patio." Basically, any feature that describes the Spot in a few words can be used as a Tag Word for that Spot. Check out some of your favorite spots to see how people have tagged them. If you agree, you can thumb it up and the tag will grow, or if you disagree and thumb it down, it will shrink. Give it a try!
How do I delete a Spot photo once I upload it?: Goto the photo tab on the Spot page and click on the photo you want to delete. You will see the red "x" beside the photo on that page.

Who can see my reviews?: Reviews are an integral part of GetBeezy’s personalized recommendations. When you submit a review to the site it goes directly into our search engine and immediately begins helping populate search results for your friends and the rest of our user-base. User reviews appear in many places around the site: search results, your "Reviews" tab, in Beezy Reports for public Spots, and Tag Words just to name a few.
How do I add tag words to a review I already finished?: Go to the Spot page for the place you reviewed and find its tag words in the middle of the page. From there just add it as you would during the review process.

What is the difference between Quick Search (at the top of your screen) and Find a Spot?: The Quick Search should be used for looking for a specific Spot by name. If you’re looking for a place for dinner, drinks, a hiking trail, somewhere to bungee jump, a museum – basically anything people do, or to help by volunteering, use Find a Spot. We think you’ll be pleased by what our search generates for you.

Find a Spot is one of the key features of GetBeezy. It is our personalized recommendation engine that allows you to find the perfect spot to eat, drink, do, or help based on your current mood, and is populated by reviews of others who went there for the same reasons you’re looking to go.
How do I enter a starting address in order to see the Spots closest to me?: Simply enter the address with the city name in the city box for Quick Search or Find a Spot.

Profile Related

How do I add a Profile picture?: Go to your Profile page and find and click the "Select Photo" button in the middle of the screen below the "Edit Profile" button. From there you can either select a photo that you have added to your Profile Photos folder, or you can upload the photo you want to use.
Also, if you are viewing a photo that you uploaded, look for the "Use For Profile" button on the left side of the photo. Click that and it will automatically change that picture to your Profile picture.
How do I block a user from viewing my Profile or contacting me in any way?: You can block bothersome users at any time to prevent them from seeing your Profile or your activity. To do this, simply click on "Settings" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and then find the "Blocked Users" icon. Select them using the auto-complete box and add them to your blocked users list. You can add or remove them from this list at any time.

How do I create a favorites list for cities other than my hometown?

Go to My Story > Spots > City Favorite Lists on the left column > then add a new one by clicking Create New City Favorite List.

What does it mean for a photo to be private?: A private photo can be seen only by people who are tagged in the photo or by those who have been approved by the editor to view the activity it is tied to.
What does it mean for a photo to be normal?: A normal photo can be seen by all of your friends.

What does it mean for a photo to be public?

A public photo can be viewed by anybody on GetBeezy.
